My Art Beats desires to fill in the gap in opportunities that exist for children with autism and other special needs through the use of creative expression as outputs for therapy: art and music. Individuals on the autism spectrum often face a lot of challenges for being educated traditionally and socially, thus limiting opportunities for their essential cognitive, emotional, and social development. Typical people have numerous ways to express themselves and show their talents, those with autism either go forgotten or simply don't know how. By providing a bounded yet flexible medium in which thoughts and feelings going unable to put into words can be conveyed, art has provided cognitive improvements, increased communication, and emotional stability for those on the spectrum. It is through our exhibitions, fundraising efforts, and awareness campaigns that we seek to create an inclusive space where special needs students can hone their creative skills, build confidence, and be part of a larger community appreciative of their talents. My Art Beats exists because we believe art should be a universal language - one that empowers, heals, and gives every individual a chance to be seen and heard.
Artists are given the opportunity to express themselves creatively, using their talents to make semantic art that tells stories and inspires change.
We bring artists together, yielding a supportive community where they can collaborate, share ideas, and build lasting relationships with like-minded individuals.
By bringing together art, music, and purpose, we create a space where creativity and compassion merge to empower artists in making a collective impact on our community.
